House V

Single-family house. Madrid, 2009

The house is placed on a terrain, which by means of three platforms saves the irregularities and fall of the plot, adapting to the topography and respecting the preexisting ancient oak trees. The highest concrete platform lies at the road access. The middle platform constitutes the floor on which the main program of the house is developed, conceived as a watchtower where one can enjoy the views of the mountains as well as the swimming pool. The lowest floor, semi-basement, intended for guest rooms and children's playroom, provides direct access to the garden. A large patio breaks through the three platforms, introducing natural light and ventilation to the rooms located against the terrain.
